Eligibility For LLM Course

LLM Eligibility Criteria: Minimum Marks Required as per categories.

The minimum marks required by a candidate as per the category is given here

  • Candidates belonging to the general category are required to score a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade point aggregate to apply
  • Applicants belonging to the “SC/ST” Category must score a minimum of 45% marks to apply for LLM.
  • Candidates who belong to the “OBC” Category must score a minimum of 45% marks to apply for LLM.
  • Children/Widows of Army Personnel: Candidates applying for LLM under the Children/Widow (CW) category, either as widows/wards of ex-servicemen or as wards of serving defence forces personnel with gallantry award recognition, will receive 5% marks relaxation in the minimum LLM eligibility prescribed for general candidates, that is they should have obtained 45% aggregate marks or an equivalent aggregate grade in their LLB degree.
  • Physically Handicapped: Physically Handicapped candidates will also be given 5% marks relaxation in the minimum LLM eligibility criteria prescribed for general candidates, that is they will need to have scored 45% aggregate marks or obtained an equivalent aggregate grade point for their LLB degree, subject to the recommendations of the Medical Board.

  • Candidates applying for LLM must get their LLB degrees recognized by the UGC/BCI/other such bodies for the purpose of admissions to CCS University.
  • The degrees will be checked by the University authorities for confirming equivalence with CCS University’s LLB degrees.
  • Candidates who are appearing in their final LLB qualifying exam or are awaiting its results are also eligible to appear for LLM Entrance Examination. Final admission will depend on whether they secure the minimum required category-wise aggregate marks/grade.
  • Candidates will need to secure the exact or above the exact minimum required qualifying marks, as specified for their category, to be eligible for LLM admissions. The marks in fractions will be considered and rounding off will not be allowed.
